The "Series 7" stool is an icon in modern furniture history, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955. The chair is made from 9 layers of pressure-molded veneer for strength, flexibility, and durability despite its slender form. The Series 7 is the most popular design within Fritz Hansen’s chair collection. The stools feature a four-sided footrest in tubular steel fixed to the extended legs, preserving the visual harmony of the chair’s clean, simple construction. Launched in 2005 to honor the 50th anniversary of the Series 7 design.
